My current work in progress is a memorial to my niece. She was 12 when she was kidnapped and murdered. She would have been 20 years old last month.
Her murderer was put to death in January and I finally feel that I have enough closure to allow me to create this memorial.
It will be a long and emotional journey. My son has only recently learned to cross stitch and was eager to share this project with me. He is working on the saying and I will be working on the portrait. I’m sure they will be beautiful.
